Anser Anser

The greylag goose is divided into only two species. The “western” and the “eastern” greygoose. These can be recognized by the colouring of the beak. The western greylag goose has a yellowish orange beak and the eastern one a pink beak. Nobel prize winner Konrad Lorenz studied the social behaviour of the greylag geese.
