The zoo Stadt Haag was opened in 1973 and set up in the former park of the castle Salaberg. Since then much has changed in the handling and the keeping of wild animals in captivity.
We want to make you aware of the fact that all wild animals are in captivity and have the right to a dignified existence.
On the one hand our zoo is a great place to meet, for humans as for animals, but it should also be a place to refuge abandoned and endangered animals.
Animal protection is very important to us. As a visitor you contribute actively to this.
